About the projectIn the near future, Scenic Rim residents will enjoy a $6.6 million library and town centre with Council delivering the Davidson Park Town Centre precinct in Beaudesert as part of the 2012/13 budget. The precinct will feature a single level, state-of-the-art library, aligning with Queensland Government standards, and will provide Scenic Rim residents access to modern and evolving technologies.
The town centre precinct will feature additional green space, a sculpture park, public seating, a café and social meeting area as well as a possible stage area for small-scale performances. Public meeting rooms, free 24 hour wireless internet for members, increased CBD parking and additional services incorporating and merging educational, social and recreational boundaries will enable Beaudesert’s library to level with those of suburbia, namely Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
