Scenic Rim Regional Council is seeking on behalf of its community, regulatory protection to ensure that coal mining and coal seam gas extraction activities are not permitted in this region. Council is seeking this protection to provide our community with certainty that its current lifestyle, environment and economy and also its vision for the future will not be jeopardised by incompatible mining and petroleum activities.
