Expressions of Interest are invited for appointment of an external member to Council's Audit and Risk Committee for a period of four years. The successful applicant may also be appointed as Chairperson.

 

The Audit and Risk Committee operates as a source of independent advice to the Council and the Chief Executive Officer on governance, risk management, accountability and audit related matters.

Temporary Part Time Events Officer

Position Summary:  

The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the permanent part time incumbent in coordinating events, promoting Council programs and services and liaising with community groups and organisations. 

The position is for approximately six months (with the possibility of an extension) working a five day fortnight (Week 1 - Thursday and Friday; Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). From time to time there may be a requirement to work weekends and outside of office hours to promote Council programs.

Experience coordinating events and working with community groups is required, as well as interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.

Governance Officer

Position Summary:  

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to local government, together with experience in a number of disciplines including, but not limited to governance, insurance, audit and risk.  A high level of verbal and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills is essential.

Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification such as law, insurance, risk, policy, business, public administration or similar is required.
