The Councillor representing Division 2 is:
 | Cr Richard Adams Former Tamborine Mountain Chamber of Commerce president Richard Adams is working to maintain our rural living lifestyle, and encourage the provision of older persons housing and facilities for youth, however his priority is to ensure the survival and eventual prosperity of the merged councils we now call the Scenic Rim Regional Council. After establishing a successful farming and earthmoving business in New South Wales, Richard and his late wife Cherry moved to the Mountain in 1997 after their children completed their tertiary education. Prior to standing for Council he operated an information technology business as an internet marketing adviser. As a practical hands-on business person, Richard has made use of all the educational opportunities available to him, mainly through TAFE, to learn more about business management, corporate governance and dispute resolution. In his spare time, he has been actively involved in no fewer than 15 community-based activities on the mountain. Richard is the chair of the Scenic Rim RADF Committee and was the last chair (which rotates every six months among the councillors) of the Corporate and Community Services Committee.
