Development Compliance

Local Laws

Local laws are a key compliance management tool used by Council in managing various operational, public health, safety and environmental issues. Fact sheets on various local laws can be found here.

Development Compliance

Council is also responsible for ensuring compliance with its planning schemes and development approvals under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009. Development compliance activities are essential to ensure that development occurs lawfully to minimise the risk of impacts on the environment, public health and safety, and to ensure that infrastructure is delivered to appropriate standards. For information on planning schemes in the region, click here.
