Environmental Grants Program Round 2016/17
The Environmental Grants Program provides for projects that encourage community involvement in the achievement of environmental sustainability, such as sediment reduction into waterways, riparian restoration, environmental awareness, tree planting, land restoration and bush regeneration.
Eligible applicants include community groups, not-for-profit organisations, schools and private property owners enrolled in Councils Habitat Protection Program.
Projects that can be eligible to receive funding can include land restoration projects, community environmental awareness, water quality improvement projects and bush regeneration projects. Each application will be assessed for its environmental outcomes for the region. For more information, download the Environmental Grants Fact Sheet
Applicants are encouraged to read the Environmental Grants Guidelines to determine the range of suitable projects that may be funded. In crafting a project for consideration, applicants should contact Council's Environmental Policy and Services team on 5540 111 for assistance.
Applicants who do not have an Australian Business Number (ABN) will also be required to complete a statement by supplier form. This form can be downloaded at the Australian Tax Office website https://www.ato.gov.au/Forms/Statement-by-a-supplier-not-quoting-an-ABN/
Successful applicants must complete a Final Report and Acquittal, either when the project is finished or within 12 months of receiving the funds, whichever comes first.
