Community representative - Scenic Rim River Improvement Trust Community representative - Scenic Rim River Improvement Trust

The Queensland Government is seeking applications from community members interested in serving on the Scenic Rim River Improvement Trust as community representatives.
A River Improvement Trust is a statutory authority constituted under the River Improvement Act 1940 working within the River Improvement Trust Regulation 2013 and other relevant legislation.
It operates to mitigate flooding from watercourses within its local government area, and implements weed-management programs and installs operational works to improve the flow of water in watercourses.
Trusts consist of two representatives nominated by local government and three community members nominated by the Minister for State Development and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines.
Members then elect the Chairperson who is responsible for ensuring the trust operates consistently in meeting its statutory obligations, applies the use of funds efficiently and effectively and functions in the interests of the community it serves.
