Notice is given under Part 11 of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992 that the following three places are proposed to be entered into the Scenic Rim Local Heritage Register.

  1. Knoll Road and Old Knoll Road, Tamborine Mountain (Lot 1 SP228339 plus Knoll Road (Road Reserve seg/pars 32974/1; 32973/2; 32973/39 and 14602/354));

  3. Weir over Plunkett Creek, at 23 Roslyn Court, Tamborine Mountain (Lot 10 SP120946).

  3. The place has potential to yield information that will contribute to an understanding of the local area's history;
  4. The place is important in demonstrating the principal characteristics of a particular class of cultural places;
  5. The place is important because of its aesthetic significance;
  6. The place is important in demonstrating a high degree of creative or technical achievement at a particular period.

A Draft Exemption Certificate made under Section 75 of the Queensland Heritage Act for a portion of the proposed Knoll Road heritage place is also available for public consultation which seeks to enable Scenic Rim Regional Council to carry out ongoing maintenance and planned upgrades to Knoll Road without the requirement to submit a code assessable development application in accordance with Schedule 10, Part 8 of the Planning Regulation 2017.

Copies of the proposed inventory sheets for the places which provide the Statement of Cultural Heritage Significance, as well as the proposed Exemption Certificate for Knoll Road are available for viewing:
