Council is partnering with the Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce to help local business operators put the pedal to the metal and accelerate their growth.

Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen said the free Business Growth Accelerator Workshop on Thursday 8 June aimed to help local business operators achieve growth and better manage their growth and time.

"An important question for many business operators is: 'When did you last take the time to work on your business, not just in your business?'," he said.

Founder of The Pack Global, Andrew Wright, will help workshop participants through practical strategies to reflect on their current position and practices and identify how to make positive change through renewed focus and action.

He will share his techniques for boosting profits, leveraging opportunities and developing team and leadership qualities.

"This is a valuable opportunity for those who are seeking improvement, value feedback and are committed to harnessing a financially viable business," Cr Christensen said.

"For Andrew, entrepreneurship is not just about business, it's about realising your full human potential and taking charge of your life to accelerate your business growth and project forward with a competitive edge."

The workshop will run from 6pm to 9pm at The Centre, Beaudesert on Thursday 8 June.

Admission is free to all members of the Scenic Rim's chambers of commerce and local business operators but places are limited.

"The workshop covers three of the most common concerns for business owners - time management, profitability and productivity - delivering precise methods for achievable and realistic outcomes," Cr Christensen said.

"I congratulate Kelvin Marks and the Beaudesert Chamber for being pro-active and the other regional chambers for recognising the opportunity to share this initiative."
