The Scenic Rim region is located about one hour's drive south of Brisbane and west of the Gold Coast. The region's boundaries stretch from Peak Crossing and Gleneagle in the north down to the New South Wales border, and from Tamborine Mountain in the east, to Aratula and the Gap National Park in the west.

The Scenic Rim Region experiences sub-tropical climatic conditions typically with warm wet summers and mild dry winters.   

Temperatures range between daytime averages of mid 30oC  in summer, to low 20oC  in winter.
