 Just one hour’s drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim region is home to the thriving country towns of Beaudesert, Boonah, Canungra, Kalbar, Kooralbyn, Rathdowney, Tamborine Mountain and Aratula. The region boasts Lake Maroon and Lake Moogerah which lay nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, and Wyaralong Dam located on Teviot Brook downstream from Boonah.

The region covers 4,238 square kilometres and is home to about 38,304 people. Residents enjoy the relaxed, hospitable lifestyle afforded by the small country towns and villages which features fantastic scenery and great outdoors as well as a mix of traditional and alternative forms of rural business and industry.

Coming by car

From Brisbane City
Head south on the Pacific Motorway, take the Logan Motorway exit at Upper Mount Gravatt exit. Continue on the Logan Motorway turning left on Beaudesert Road (Mount Lindesay Highway).
Estimated time: 55 minutes /70km

From Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise
Take the Nerang North exit or the Oxenford exit off the Pacific Highway and follow the signs to Beaudesert.
Estimated time: 1hour / 65km

From New South Wales
Follow the Pacific Highway through Tweed Heads and Bilinga then take the Nerang North or Oxenford exits and follow the signs to Beaudesert.

Coming by bus
