Funded by the Queensland Government, BWEP is an incentive scheme that provides financial and technical support to help businesses save water. If your business uses more than one million litres of town water per year, BWEP may be able to support your business with funding to implement water efficiency projects, including the replacement of toilets, taps and showerheads with efficient products.

Restrictions

Residents of Beaudesert and its surrounds are currently under medium level water restrictions.

Residents of Boonah and its surrounds, and Warrill View are currently under conservation level water restrictions.

Residents of Peak Crossing are currently under previous restrictions as per Ipswich City Council.

All areas within the Scenic Rim Regional Council area will come under medium level water restrictions on 1 July, 2009.

Under medium level restrictions, people in the region are asked to Target 200 litres a day but use only what you need.

Garden Section

Watering of gardens with a bucket or watering can is allowed between the hours of 4pm and 8am daily.

Watering of gardens is permittable with a hand held hose or in accordance with the Efficient Irrigation for Water Conservation Guideline - using one efficient sprinkler or efficient irrigation system.

ODD numbered premises, during the half hour between 4pm and 4.30pm Saturday and Tuesday

EVEN numbered premises, during the half hour between 4.pm and 4.30pm Sunday and Wednesday

NO WATERING IS ALLOWED ON ESTABLISHED LAWNS

These restrictions apply for all residents - no concessions apply.

Washing of vehicles and homes

Washing of vehicles and homes is allowed under medium level water restrictions when water is used through a hand held hose or a high pressure water cleaning unit and only one hose or high pressure water cleaning unit using town water is in operation at the premises

EVEN numbered premises, during the half hour between 4.00pm and 4.30pm Sunday and WednesdayHome Waterwise
