Road restoration works are to be undertaken on the following roads during the week commencing Monday, 12 November 2018.
CHRISTMAS CREEK ROAD, LARAVALE
Road reconstruction works are continuing on Christmas Creek Road, Laravale. The project includes the reconstruction of a 1.4 kilometre section of road, with improved horizontal and vertical alignment, as well as an upgrade to drainage structures. This project is jointly funded by Council and the Queensland Government, under the Transport Infrastructure Delivery Scheme.
THIEDEKE ROAD, BEAUDESERT
Road reconstruction works are continuing on Thiedeke Road, Beaudesert. The project includes the reconstruction of a 1.1 kilometre section of road, with improved horizontal and vertical alignment, as well as an upgrade to drainage structures. This project is jointly funded by Council and the Queensland Government, under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements.
BROMELTON HOUSE ROAD, BROMELTON
Due to infrastructure damage, Bromelton House Road has been reduced to a single lane (approximately 4.2 metres in width) at Damm Damm Gully. Temporary traffic lights have been installed to manage the changed traffic conditions through this site.
Road restoration works are continuing across the region, with works to be undertaken on Greer Road, Blantyre, Lilybrook Road, Coulson, Croftby Road, Croftby, Round Mountain Road, Josephville, Warumkarie Road and Watter Road, Kalbar, Webers Road, Peak Crossing, Le Grande Road, Washpool, and Knehr Road, Wyaralong.
Scheduled bridge maintenance works are to be undertaken on various structures throughout the region.
BRIDGE RESTORATION - HAACK BRIDGE
Bridge restoration works are continuing on Haack Bridge, Haack Road, Lamington. The damaged existing timber structure is to be replaced with a new concrete bridge.
BRIDGE RESTORATION - STEINHARDT BRIDGE
Bridge restoration works are continuing on Steinhardt Bridge, Steinhardt Road, Darlington. The damaged existing timber structure is to be replaced with a new concrete bridge.
Please note that the above programmed works may be subject to change.
Duck Creek Road, Kerry
Due to heavy rainfall and flooding associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie in March 2017, a section of Duck Creek Road suffered severe damage, making it totally impassable by all vehicles. Vehicle access is closed to all vehicles and will remain closed until further notice.
