
The following works are programmed for the week commencing Tuesday 15 May 2012.
Stage 2 of Kerry Road Reconstruction project has commenced, with works programmed for completion by end of July 2012. Works involve the reconstruction of approximately 300m of seal pavement, as well as improved drainage and road alignment.
Reconstruction works are continuing in Church Street, Boonah, between High Street and Walter Street. Works will involve the pavement seal rehabilitation, repositions of water main and improved drainage.
The replacement of Kooralbyn Bridge, Kooralbyn, is progressing; with the relocation of services from the existing bridge continuing. Construction of the replacement concrete bridge is expected to commence in June.
Works have commenced on the establishment of a sidetrack at Cavell Bridge, Boyland Road, Boyland, to permit unlimited load access to Boyland Road. While rehabilitation works have commenced on Smith Bridge, at Lamington.
Council's Bridge Crews will be undertaking routine maintenance on various bridges throughout the Region.
Maintenance and restoration works are continuing throughout the Region, and are being carried out on in the following areas:
- Kalbar
- Hoya
- Mount Alford
- Tarome
Maintenance of urban drainage structure are to be undertaken within the town of Beaudesert.
Council is continuing its road grading program, with works to be undertaken on various roads within the Coulson, Croftby, Josephville, Tarome, Wyaralong areas.

Summerland Way Road Updates
The Summerland Way runs from Woodenbong to Grafton in New South Wales. Used in conjunction with Mount Lindesay Highway in South East Queensland and the Orara Way in New South Wales, this cross-border route provides a 'quieter, scenic alternative' to the Pacific Highway.
