27 MARCH - COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS GRANTED ASSISTANCE
Forty community organisations across the region will receive financial assistance for events and equipment as part of Council's third round of Community Grants for 2016-17.
27 MARCH - SOIL CONDITIONING OPERATION APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS
Scenic Rim green waste and quarry overburden will be upcycled as an agricultural product following Council's approval of a development application for a soil conditioning facility at Cryna.
27 MARCH - EAT LOCAL WEEK'S BID FOR A SLICE OF THE FUNDING
Council will seek funding assistance to further enhance the Scenic Rim as a food and wine destination, through the Federal Government's Building Better Regions, Community Investment Stream.
24 MARCH - VILLAGE GREENS TO BE A VIBRANT ADDITION TO MAIN STREET
Design plans for the "Village Green" stages of the Main Street Master Plan for Tamborine Mountain are currently on public display to update the community on the progress of the project. The plans can be viewed at the Tamborine Mountain Library or online. A public information session will be held in the function room at Vonda Youngman Community Centre from 7pm on Tuesday 28 March.

An upgrade to the Teviot Brook crossing at Coulson to address the frequency of closures due to flooding is among the projects on the advocacy agenda during a mayoral delegation to Canberra this week.
