At Laravale (15km) turn left into Christmas Creek Rd. Park located on Christmas Creek adjacent to Lamington National Fitness Camp, about 42km south of Beaudesert. As campers set up their tents on Stinson Park, some may recall the heroic actions of Bernard O'Reilly and other locals in 1937 when a small commercial passenger plane crashed in thick rainforest. Flanagan Reserve | On the Logan River, great for swimming and fishing, lots of shade, ideal for caravans. Popular for bushwalkers. Situated in the shadows of Mt Barney National Park about 45km from Beaudesert and 105km from Brisbane.
