At Laravale (15km) turn left into Christmas Creek Rd. Park located on Christmas Creek adjacent to Lamington National Fitness Camp, about 42km south of Beaudesert. As campers set up their tents on Stinson Park, some may recall the heroic actions of Bernard O'Reilly and other locals in 1937 when a small commercial passenger plane crashed in thick rainforest. Located only an hour and a half from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Bigriggen Park is far enough to "get away", yet close enough to spend less time travelling to a weekend escape. Bigriggen Park is set on 100 acres of high hilltops and gentle river flats, surrounded by National Parks and bordered by the Logan River and Burnett Creek. Flanagan Reserve | On the Logan River, great for swimming and fishing, lots of shade, ideal for caravans. Popular for bushwalkers. Situated in the shadows of Mt Barney National Park about 45km from Beaudesert and 105km from Brisbane. Close to, but not next to, Mt Maroon, Mt Barney and Mt Lindesay, this is a popular area for bush walkers. Directions: From Mt Lindesay Highway, Rathdowney, turn right into Boonah-Rathdowney Rd, travel 8km and turn left into Upper Logan Rd.
