14 February: Due to the weather on Thursday 13 February, some residents have had disruption to normal waste and recycling collection services.
Due to the weather event on Thursday 13 February, some residents in Beaudesert, Gleneagle, Peak Crossing, Biddaddaba and Boonah areas have had disruption to normal waste and recycling collection services.
For Gleneagle residents, Council attempted to empty all waste bins on Friday 14 February during the weather event.
Council has been able to secure a waste collection vehicle for Saturday 15 February to service Beaudesert for waste bins only. Council is asking if residents could have bins out by 5.30am.
We are aware of the concerns of some of our communities relating to the missed waste and recycling collections from Thursday and Friday.
While we were unable to service some areas on Thursday and Friday due to the localised flooding at the time and the availability of collection vehicles, 85% of the affected areas have had waste bins emptied.
Please remember Council's Waste Transfer Stations are available for you to use free of charge to dispose of household waste and recycling if you require this service.
We appreciate your understanding during this time.
