Scenic Rim Regional Council conducts community consultation on matters of public interest or where public input is required.
This consultation can be undertaken through a range of methods including public forums, information sharing sessions, online surveys, advertisements and written feedback.

Scenic Rim Regional Council invites the community to comment on the proposed changes made in response to submissions on the Draft Scenic Rim Planning Scheme made under section 18 of the Planning Act 2016 and Planning Scheme Policies made under section 22 of the Planning Act 2016.
As a result of the September to December 2018 consultation of the Draft Scenic Rim Planning Scheme and Draft Planning Scheme Policies, Council has responded to submissions by:
The proposed changes to the Draft Scenic Rim Planning Scheme and Draft Planning Scheme Policies will be available for public consultation from 28 August 2019 to 30 September 2019 inclusive.
Copies of the amended draft planning scheme and planning scheme policies as well as the Public Consultation Report will be available for viewing online at Council’s website here.

Council is seeking formal feedback from the community during the second consultation period in the form of properly made submissions limited to those matters that have changed in the Draft Planning Scheme and Planning Scheme Policies since the 2018 consultation draft. Other matters are out of scope of this second consultation and may be deferred for consideration as part of a future amendment to the planning scheme.
NOTE: Details of submissions will be published on Council’s website, but submitters’ names, addresses, signatures and personal contact details will be removed. The State Government must also be provided with a copy of all submissions.
