Notice of Special Budget Meeting
Council's Special Meeting for the adoption of its 2020-2021 Budget will be held at 9.00 prior to the Ordinary Meeting on Monday 6 July as per the "Notice of Special Meeting". Although Council meetings are currently closed to the public, the community will be able to listen to the meeting live by clicking here.
Unless otherwise advertised, Ordinary Meetings will be held at the Council Chambers, 82 Brisbane Street, Beaudesert, commencing at 9.00am. As an interim measure, Council has approved the nomination of Chambers at the Boonah Customer Service and Administration Centre as an alternative meeting location for prescribed meetings of Council, to provide suitable flexibility to achieve necessary separation distances and overall capacity to accommodate attendance of Councillors and required Council staff. While The Centre Beaudesert had previously been approved as an alternative venue to Council's Beaudesert Chambers, due to social distancing requirements during COVID-19, the use of Boonah's Chambers will enable events and venue hires to resume at The Centre Beaudesert as government restrictions on numbers at public gatherings continue to ease.
Council anticipates that its Ordinary Meetings will be held at Chambers at Boonah until further notice, pending any legal directions issued by the Chief Health Officer or other relevant authority. Confirmation of meeting locations will be made in advance of a meeting.
Public access will not be permitted. Recordings of meetings will be made available.
During COVID-19, every endeavour will be made to provide either audio or video recording of the meetings, technology permitting.
