Children of all ages are invited to take part in this year’s Reduce and Reuse Challenge! This year we're challenging you to reduce waste by either not making it in the first place or by finding another use for materials that would otherwise go to landfill.

Together Let’s Reimagine Waste!

Need some inspiration?

• Have a 'nude food' day each week for a month – a great way to reduce single-use plastic packaging 
• Make a waste-to-art project such as bottle  cap pictures or bookmarks from popsicle  sticks 
• Collect specific items that can often end up in the waste bin – maybe pens or soft plastics – for recovery and responsible recycling 

It’s up to you what you do! 

We will be looking for

• Ideas that make a difference - Tell us how much waste has been avoided through your challenge.
• Challenges that are easy - We are looking for ideas that others in the Scenic Rim Community can do too. The easier it is, the more people will do it, helping more people to reduce waste.

What was your reduce and reuse challenge? Tell us how much waste you avoided or diverted from landfill (this could be kilograms or how many items were avoided). Take a photo that shows your challenge.
