Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is the region’s signature food and farming festival, held each June and celebrates the people, produce and places that make the Scenic Rim one of Australia’s leading agritourism destinations. The month-long program brings together farmers, growers, makers, chefs, winemakers, brewers, distillers and tourism operators through immersive paddock-to-plate experiences, farm gate events, workshops, long lunches and festivals.
The Eat Local movement has received significant recognition for its contribution to tourism and regional development, including winning Gold for Excellence in Food Tourism at the 2025 Queensland Tourism Awards. This recognition reflects the strength of the Scenic Rim’s collaborative food and farming story and the region’s growing reputation as a destination for authentic local experiences.
Operators interested in getting involved in Eat Local Month are encouraged to contact Scenic Rim Regional Council’s regional events team to discuss participation opportunities, event concepts and program requirements.
