Doing business with Council

Scenic Rim Regional Council undertakes significant procurement activities, all of which are conducted in accordance with the requirements of Section 104 of the Local Government Act 2009, the Local Government Regulation 2012, the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Council's Procurement Policy.

All Council suppliers are required to be verified through Eftsure to do business with Council. This verification process has been implemented by Council as it supports Australian businesses to safeguard payments from fraud and error by matching ABN and business names with a bank account and BSB numbers. VendorPanel Marketplace

Scenic Rim Regional Council has further streamlined its internal quotation process to utilise an online request for quotation (RFQ) portal where local suppliers will either form part of an established panel arrangement (through Local Buy Vendor Panel) or will self-register their business through an online portal called Vendor Panel Marketplace.

Where there is no preferred supplier list or agreement in place, VendorPanel Marketplace is utilised to source quotations from registered suppliers where the quote value is less than $200,000. Marketplace is an "open market" online system and free for suppliers to register, receive notifications and submit quotes for services or goods that they offer. At the heart of this solution, Council is trying to make it easier to engage with local suppliers and the open market, giving small to medium enterprises better access to Council opportunities and increase governance and transparency in our quotation process.

Please visit VendorPanel Marketplace to register your business on the Marketplace portal under the services or goods that you wish to provide.
