Swimming pools
Council provides public swimming pool facilities at Beaudesert, Tamborine Mountain and Canungra. The day-to-day operation of these pools is contracted to third-party providers. Community pools at Boonah and Rathdowney are associated with the local schools and are owned by Education Queensland. Scenic Rim Aqua Fitness Centre at Boonah is operated by community volunteers.
The Boonah hydrotherapy facility is open through the year.

Council has extended the swimming season for the pools at Beaudesert, Canungra and Tamborine Mountain to the end of the 2025 autumn school holidays – with the last day of the season now Wednesday 30 April (excluding public holidays).
Beaudesert Pool - 54a Brisbane Street
Opening hours
Monday to Friday: 5.30am-9am (lap swimming only) and 9am-6pm (general hours)
Saturday: 8.30am-5.30pm
Sunday and Public Holidays: 10am-5.30pm
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday.
The Beaudesert pool offers a 50-metre heated pool, shaded areas, wading pool with splash park for toddlers supervised by parents and parent/disability change room.

Boonah Pool - Macquarie Street

Scenic Rim Aqua Fitness Centre - 10 Elizabeth Terrace

Formerly known as the Scenic Rim Hydrotherapy Pool, the Scenic Rim Aqua Fitness Centre offers 2 speciality heated indoor hydrotherapy and exercise pools. This is not a lap swimming venue. Canungra Pool - Moriarty Park, Monarch Drive

The Canungra pool offers a 25m heated pool, shaded seating area, children's play area, cafe, disabled access and toilet facilities, parties and functions, swim squads, learn to swim classes, baby and mum classes and aqua aerobics. The Canungra Swimming Club meets at 5.30pm on Thursdays.

Rathdowney Pool - 139 Mount Lindesay Highway
Opening hours
Open 2-6pm daily, only during the summer school holidays (Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Australia Day).
The Rathdowney pool offers a 25-metre pool, change rooms, toilets and grassed areas. Children less younger than 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
