Beaudesert Shire Planning Scheme 2007 (Historic)

The parts of Beaudesert Shire Planning Scheme 2007that applied to the Scenic Rim local government area were superseded with the commencement of the Scenic Rim Planning Scheme 2020 and are now historic.

In accordance with the Queensland Government's local government boundary reforms, the southern part of the former Beaudesert Shire formed part of Scenic Rim Regional Council on 15 March 2008. Scenic Rim Regional Council administers all development and land use planning within this area.

The northern areas of the former Beaudesert Shire transferred to and are administered by Logan City Council. All enquiries regarding planning and development within these northern areas should be made to Logan City Council.

The Beaudesert Shire Planning Scheme 2007sets out the assessment levels and requirements for undertaking development in the former Beaudesert Shire area. The final version of the Beaudesert Shire Planning Scheme 2007came into effect on 20 June 2018 and incorporates Amendments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 & 10.

Temporary Local Planning Instrument (Historic)

Temporary Local Planning Instrument 01/2019 (Flood Hazard)(PDF, 6MB) (TLPI) (historic) is a local planning instrument which suspends and overrides the operation (in part) of Council's historic planning schemes. The TLPI applies provisions for the Scenic Rim that either update or introduce a flood hazard overlay map and code that applies to development in a Flood Hazard Area. Development that is proposed on land affected by flood must check mapping (the Overlay maps) and refer to the TLPI.
