Temporary membership is available to all non-residents, who do not meet the criteria for resident or reciprocal membership, on payment of a non-refundable amount of $35.00.
Borrowing
A library card is necessary to borrow at all of the Scenic Rim Region's libraries. Ten items may be borrowed at any one time for a period of four weeks. Loans may be extended if necessary. If items are not overdue they can be renewed on-line, by phone or by visiting any SRRC library. Items not available at the time of your visit may be reserved. A $1.50 charge per reminder notice is payable for overdue items.
Special Materials and Services
The Scenic Rim region's libraries not only stock a wide variety of books, but also a large selection of large print books, picture books and local studies materials. Members are encouraged to use other services including audio CDs and DVDs, CD-ROMs, the internet, word processing and photocopying. Fun events such as craft sessions and storytelling for children are held at some branches. A housebound service is also available to anyone in the Scenic Rim region who is genuinely in need of it. Contact Council's library staff for further information regarding the housebound service.
