Regional Events Program

Council is committed to supporting social, cultural, industry and sporting events for the purpose of attracting overnight visitation and delivering economic benefits to the Scenic Rim Region through increased expenditure. 

The Regional Events Program provides financial support to organisations for projects and events that:

  • promote tourism and attracts overnight visitation to the Scenic Rim region 
  • provide economic benefits through local spend and increased visitor expenditure 
  • are aligned with the character and culture of the Scenic Rim region 
  • demonstrate sound organisational planning

Guidelines for applicants

The Regional Events Program is open for applications.  Applications must be received at least 12 weeks before your event and organisations can only apply to the Regional Events Program once each financial year. Please read the guidelines carefully before applying - link above. Applicants are also required to have an initial conversation with the Coordinator Regional Events before completing an on-line application. The Coordinator will explain the requirements of the funding program and answer any questions you may have. The application link will be provided following this conversation.
