Council is calling on the community to have its say and help shape the future of sport and recreation in the Scenic Rim

Scenic Rim Regional Council is calling on the community to have its say and help shape the future of sport and recreation in the region.

On Tuesday 2 April 2024, consultation will open on the Draft Sport and Recreation Plan 2024-2034 through Council’s Let’s Talk Scenic Rim online engagement platform. Feedback will be accepted until Tuesday 30 April 2024.

The draft plan, which was developed in conjunction with Scenic Rim sporting organisations, peak sporting bodies, State Government departments, and sports and recreation providers, aims to meet the requirements of Council’s expanding and diverse region.

Council is also keen to hear from local education providers and has developed a separate, secure page on Let’s Talk Scenic Rim where schools can submit their feedback on two key areas.

There are eight (8) drop-in sessions planned across the region where community members can meet Council's project team, ask any questions they may have about the draft plan, and complete the consultation survey in-person.
