Tickets are now on sale for the Scenic Rim's night-of-nights, the 2019 Business Excellence Awards.

Judging of more than 50 nominations is now underway with the winners to be announced at a gala dinner at The Centre, Beaudesert which will be transformed into a powerhouse of business success on Friday 29 March.

Mayor Greg Christensen said he hoped the gala event would become an annual highlight of the Scenic Rim business calendar, with awards to be presented in six business categories as well as the Trainee/Apprentice of the Year Award and ultimate Scenic Rim Business of the Year Award.

"These awards represent the strength of our region’s business community," he said.

"The gala evening presents a great opportunity for the Scenic Rim business community to kick up its heels and celebrate our region's many business achievements, while enjoying live music and a two-course meal.

"That meal, of course, will showcase the best of Scenic Rim produce and be expertly prepared by Scenic Rim Regional Food Ambassador Kate Raymont."

Hosting the event will be journalist and presenter Heather Foord, best known as the face of Channel 9 Brisbane's evening news for more than a decade.

An ambassador for the Local Government Association of Queensland, she is also an avid supporter of several charities.

The gala will be held at The Centre, Beaudesert, 6pm for 6.30pm, on Friday 29 March. Tickets are $65 and include a two-course meal and drink on arrival. Book online at www.scenicrimbusinessawards.com.au or in person at The Centre box office or by phoning 5540 5050.
