Need an extra incentive to have your say about Council services and the future of the Scenic Rim?

Residents, businesses and community groups now have until Sunday 27 March to join the conversation around two important projects.

The deadline for feedback on both the Draft Growth Management Strategy 2041 and Council's Customer Satisfaction Survey have been extended by three weeks to 27 March.

Even better, there are some great prizes up for grabs for participants who engage on the Let's Talk Scenic Rim platform during these consultation periods, including double passes to the Long Sunset Music Festival, and double passes to Culture Centre events, and copies of the popular Eat Local Cookbook.

Council is keenly seeking local comment about the Draft Growth Management Strategy which outlines the scale, location and timing of future residential and employment growth in the region.

"Community input is absolutely vital to ensure future growth in the region is well-planned, reflective of community expectations and protective of our region’s lifestyle for future generations," Mayor Greg Christensen said.

"We have received strong feedback on the growth management strategy, and we want to continue that engagement, which is why we have decided to extend the opportunity for people to access the information and ask questions," he said.

The wide-ranging Customer Satisfaction Survey also seeks specific feedback on Council's key services including waste management, roads and footpaths, council-owned facilities, lifestyle factors, communication and regulatory services.

"Community feedback through this survey will help us as a Council to determine if we are meeting community expectations and how we can ensure continuous improvement in the programs and services that we deliver to our community now and into the future," Cr Christensen said.

By registering and contributing to the conversation your voice will be heard on the topics that matter. It will also put you in the running for some great prizes including one of six double passes to The Long Sunset music festival, six double passes to Culture Centre events and six copies of the much-loved Eat Local Cookbook.

All Let's Talk Scenic Rim participants (current and new registrations) are eligible with the prize winners announced on 30 March.
