Scenic Rim residents are being asked to have their say for when the annual Royal Queensland Show holiday should be held from 2023 onwards.

Council is seeking community feedback on its Let's Talk Scenic Rim platform on five options for a public holiday during EKKA week.

Mayor Greg Christensen said the feedback would determine which day was selected for the EKKA public holiday for 2023 and beyond.

"Council has until now each year nominated the Monday of the EKKA as a public holiday, however in 2021 resolved that community feedback would be sought regarding future holidays," he said.

"There are five options which are the days of EKKA week, Monday to Friday, and we are asking people to rank in order of preference for the EKKA show holiday.

The community will be able to leave their preference through Let's Talk Scenic Rim and the response will inform the decision on the 2023 Ekka public holiday.

The Scenic Rim community can also provide feedback via Let's Talk on other Council projects, as well as see updates and reports on a variety of other works.
