Scenic Rim residents can mark their calendars now — Monday 10 August 2026 has been confirmed as the region’s official public holiday for the Royal Queensland Show, better known as the Ekka.
4 August: The Queensland Government will move the Scenic Rim local government area Ekka public holiday, scheduled for Monday 9 August, due to the ongoing lockdown in southeast Queensland.
3 August 2021: Today Council moved its Ordinary Meeting from the Boonah Council Chambers to Beaudesert Chambers, where Mayor Greg Christensen formally adjourned the meeting to a later date.
