Scenic Rim tourism businesses recognised among Queensland’s best
Visitors to the Scenic Rim have plenty of reasons to explore the region’s hospitality and unique attractions, with 66 local tourism and events businesses named in the 2025 Best of Queensland Experiences list.
Led by Tourism and Events Queensland, the Best of Queensland Experiences Program is the state’s official mark of tourism excellence and allows travellers to easily identify a tourism operator who has received the stamp of recognition.
This year’s successful Best of Queensland Experience recipients include businesses from across the state and reaffirm the Scenic Rim’s reputation as one of Queensland’s most popular visitor destinations.
The 2025 recipients represent a wide cross-section of the local tourism sector, from accommodation and attractions to food, drink, and tour companies.
From the Scenic Rim, 29 accommodation providers including Binna Burra Sky Lodges, Cedar Glen Farmstay, Mount Barney Lodge, O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat and The Polish Place made the list.
Attractions such as Thunderbird Park, Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, Scenic Rim Adventure Park, Australian Outback Opals and Dig IT were among the 12 attractions recognised as a 2025 experience.
Popular food and drink venues including the Binna Burra Tea House, Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm, O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards, Tamborine Mountain Distillery, The Club Beaudesert and Witches Falls Winery and Cellar Door were some of the 19 hospitality venues included in this year's list.
The six Scenic Rim tour companies that made the exclusive list were Binna Burra Activities, Canyon Flyer Zipline Tour, Australia's largest Zipline Tour, Mt Barney Lodge, Pineapple Tours, Summer Land Camels and Tamborine Mountain Distillery Tours.
Scenic Rim's Tourism and Regional Events Portfolio Councillor, Cr Jennifer Sanders, praised the 66 local businesses recognised in this year’s program.
“Council congratulates the champions of our tourism industry selected for the 2025 Best of Queensland Experiences list,” Cr Sanders said.
“From Tamborine Mountain, Canungra and Boonah to Harrisville, the Scenic Rim is home to tourism operators who work hard to create welcoming and authentic experiences for everyone.
“These businesses not only support local jobs and our economy, but also showcase the natural beauty and spirit that make our region unique.
“Whether you’re a local rediscovering the region or a first-time visitor, these experiences highlight why the Scenic Rim continues to attract both new and returning travellers. Why would you want to go anywhere else?”
To be recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience business, companies are rated on an independent set of criteria that includes the consistent delivery of an exceptional experience based on positive customer reviews, website with secure online booking, social media presence and membership and accreditation from a registered tourism organisation.
The recognition program started in 2018 in partnership with the state's Regional Tourism Organisations, the Queensland Tourism Industry Council , and the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation to encourage operators to strive for excellence.
