Cool fun as Scenic Rim pools open for the summer season

As the weather warms up, Scenic Rim residents can enjoy a refreshing swim for the cost of a coffee, with the summer pool season having officially opened.
Scenic Rim's Sport and Recreation Portfolio Councillor Stephen Moriarty said Council’s pools are a budget-friendly way for families to cool off, and serve as community hubs where residents of all ages can be active, meet friends and enjoy the outdoors.
“Council’s pools are safe and welcoming spaces overseen by qualified lifeguards, making them ideal for families and friends to catch up while escaping the heat,” Cr Moriarty said.
“They are a very affordable source of fun and relaxation, and they provide important opportunities to improve fitness, learn new skills and take part in community activities."
Across the region, Council pools offer a wide range of facilities including heated lap lanes, toddler play areas, cafés, swimming lessons, squad training, aqua aerobics, party hire and even specialist hydrotherapy facilities for rehabilitation and pain management.
